Flashcards that get kids moving

A girl doing the same Pilates position that appears on the flashcard next to her

Have you ever wondered how to get your child excited about moving their body in a focused, mindful way? Well, that is exactly what we aim to achieve with the Kids Pilates 7–12 method, and one of the tools we use that kids love is Flashcards.

I know flashcards might sound a bit academic, but trust me, they are nothing like school. These are bright, playful, and full of movement. In each class, we use them to show kids what to do and help them discover how and why they are doing it.

A great example is when we introduce the Pilates Principles, such as “control.”

We use that flashcard to set the focus for an activity where children explore how steady they can keep their legs while doing circles. As they try it out, they start to notice how paying attention affects their movement. It's a simple shift, but it sparks curiosity—and that's where real learning begins.

What is lovely is that kids start to get curious about their bodies. They begin asking questions, experimenting, and noticing how movement feels. The flashcards offer a visual and playful way for them to explore these big ideas without feeling pressured.

The best part? It is not just about exercise—it is about helping children build confidence, awareness, and a sense of ownership over their bodies. They do not just copy; they understand, and that makes all the difference.

We are not about perfect poses—we are about joyful movement and growing strong, inside and out.

If you are curious about how this approach works or have questions about Pilates for children, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am always happy to chat and share more about what we do.
